Tomato Gravy

When was the last time you saw Tomato Gravy on a menu? I can't remember. So each summer we try to be sure to get our fill with our own heirloom tomatoes. It's an easy dish to make, and it will definitely please a crowd. Maybe it's the heirloom tomatoes. Maybe it's the bacon. Stop by the stand for some Cherokee Purples or Brandywines, and go home and whip up this delicious gravy. Serve over a fluffy white rice!
